A two-day scenic road rally through the Karoo to historic Graaff-Reinet — Robert Sobukwe Town — and back. It's a touring event: the roads, the company and the Amazing Race Games are the point.

No. Nothing is timed, there are no stages, and there is nothing to be won by driving faster. It runs on open public roads under normal traffic law, and driving accordingly is a condition of entry.

No — that's the whole game. You receive your first destination at the start line and your next clue at each stop, so the route reveals itself one leg at a time. The only part published in advance is where it ends.

A clue-by-clue navigation challenge that runs the length of the rally: solve the clue at each stop to earn your next destination, all the way to Graaff-Reinet. It rewards navigation and teamwork inside the car, never speed.

Anyone with a roadworthy, licensed car and a valid driver's licence. Classics, moderns, 4x4s and daily drivers are all welcome — this runs on public roads, so no roll cage, race preparation or competition licence is needed. If you're unsure whether your car suits a long Karoo weekend, ask us before you enter.

Rally entry, sticker pack, goody bag, one night's accommodation in the package you choose, dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. Standard, Premium and Luxury cover two people; the Family package is priced per head above two. The event hoody is the only optional extra.

Standard, Premium and Luxury are two-person packages in progressively better rooms. Family is a single room for three to six people. All four include exactly the same rally entry, meals, sticker pack and goody bag — the room is the only difference between them.

Yes. The Family package puts three to six people in one room and is priced per head above two, so the total moves with the size of your group. Children count as occupants; there's no separate child rate. It can't be booked for two people or fewer — a couple should take Standard, Premium or Luxury. One entry is one car, so a family bringing two cars enters twice.

Where the venue can configure it, the package offers two single beds as an alternative to a double and you choose while you enter. If that option isn't shown on the package you've picked, that room can't be split.

You pick any number from 1 to 999 and it's yours for the event, first come first served. Leading zeros are cosmetic — enter 007 and it registers as number 7, so nobody else can take 7 either. Your number is held for you while you pay and locked to your entry once the payment clears.

No — the limited edition event hoody is an optional add-on, chosen per person while you enter so everyone in the car gets their own size. It's printed for this running of the Grand Tour only, it's sold as part of an entry rather than separately, and you collect it at registration.

Every entry comes with one. Part of it is for the road — the things you'll actually reach for over two days behind the wheel — and part of it is yours to keep, so there's something on the shelf afterwards that says you did this one.

An overnight bag, your driver's licence, and something warm for the evening — the Karoo cools off fast once the sun goes. Beyond that: whatever you want between meals, and some cash for the road.

Yes. Everyone who drives on the rally must hold a valid licence, carry it with them, and obey South African road traffic law throughout. You accept that as part of the indemnity when you enter — we don't collect licence numbers.

By card, through the secure Xtreme Octane checkout at the end of the entry form. Your car number and room are held for you while you pay, and your confirmation email goes out as soon as the payment clears.

Entries are non-refundable: your room and catering are booked and paid for in your name well before the weekend. Your entry can be transferred to another driver or car at no charge if you let us know in writing at least 14 days before the event. If something goes wrong, get in touch as early as you can and we'll do what we can. In the unlikely event that we have to cancel the rally, we'll contact every entrant directly with the options available.
